Have a 2000 Cherokee with 6.5 in lift it has full 6.5 coils up front, rc control arm drop brackets, drop pitman arm, adjustable trac bar. The rear has 3 in springs, 2 in shackle, and 2 inch block.. I was wondering if I could put a 2 in puck up front and either rc shackle relocations or a 6.5 in spring and get rid of block with that set up? Thanks in advance butch

Yes, the puck in the front would work, but those short arms are gonna suck.

Yes, you can get the lift your looking for in the rear without blocks.

My control arms are pretty much parallel no so 2 more inch won't be to bad.. Will it? And the drop pitman arm and trac bar will be good?

I'm running those drop brackets with 7" and mine are far from parallel but I could go a little more.

Why do you want to go up that high? Track bar, brake lines, driveshafts. Your control arms will be steep at 8.5. Drop brackets help like marc said but it is highly doubtful yours are parallel at 6.5". Are you open to any other suggestions or are you dead set on 8.5" of lift on short arms?

LOL how high your lift is has nothing to do with flex. Control arms/Long arms do the flexing.....

Like said above lift height is not directly proportionate to flex. Especially with 33's, 8.5" of lift is ridiculous. Trimming and bumpstops. If it was a mud truck i could understand 8.5" of lift but not on 33's.

for more flex you should be running something like this
http://www.full-traction.com/detail....CTID=510&NOTES=

there, 3.5 inches and it'll out perform ANY 8.5in short arm lift

you dont have to buy THAT kit but something similar at least..
for 33's you should be at 4.5in trimmed, stopped, and long arm
please dont lift your xj to ridiculous heights and expect better performance in any way. it's more dangerous than anything

unless youre just driving to the mall and back
but it will still drive like a dump truck

I no that hight itsnt flex. And with 6.5 and 33 I hit bumps at the dunes and rip fender flares off.. So 8.5 I prob wouldnt..

You'll still rip the flares off unless you bump stop it because the flares are much smaller than the tires.

well if anything you should be going lower. maybe to 5.5in IMO
were all trying to warn you
bigger tires is a good way to remedy a couple more inches of lift. and it'll actually do something for you off road

This is what bumpstops are for. No need to more lift. Proper bumpstops!
