Default 50" Light Bar and RC Mounts Installed

Finally got around to purchasing and installing... Still need to wire it in, but that will be another day.

I am also going to get the lights for the mirrors. Anyone know where I can buy the mirror brackets?

AFAIK RC makes mounts for the lower windshield/mirror lights as well.

They are getting cheap. I ordered one from TTX lighting on Amazon for my YJ 110 for a 50". I was sent an avec brand that sells for 450-515 on there. I'll be buying a 50" curved for my XJ

The last week we have had crazy storms that dump 2" of rain in an hour and there is no moisture getting into my lightbar at all I'm very happy with it.

Did you do any extra waterproofing to it? Or just install it straight from the box?

I can't even afford to put gas in my jeep. My wife is the only one working while I stay home with my two kids so money has been really tight

Look on Amazon, way cheaper.

Now be careful with those , they seem to be low hanging fruit for the troopers to issue tickets because the lights aren't covered while you're on the street.

Just have to look at your state laws is all it comes down to. The light bar and bracket only cost me like $185. Good deal.

Worse case you can buy light covers for it probably.I know other brands make them for the curved and straight light bars and the light housing look a like so they might work.

Sold the lightbar and mount the day after I mounted it. It glared off the hood, blinding me. The wind noise was excessive to the point that it was painful to drive with the windows up above 40mph.

I'm now piecing together a Thule roof rack with all the bells and whistles and a basket. I'll be adding a wind fairing. Lights will be mounted on/in basket.

Steer clear from light bars mounted on the a pillar. They suck.

If you want a mount that puts the light bar high enough not to make noise in your face, get this one:

http://www.inspired-engineering.com/...Code=IE-v2xj50

I know EXACTLY what you're talking about. The Hooligan 50-inch light bar brackets made that noise. I hated it.

These by Inspired Engineering do not.

I agree about lights being mounted on the A pillar sucking. I opted away from the RC brackets as they cannot be removed without leaving a hole that will rust out. The Inspired Engineering ones use clamps on the gutters with security bolts.
