Okay
Jeeples I need some info!!! I currently have a 96 Jeep 4.0 AW4.
I have everything I need (to the best of my knowledge) to do a 5 speed swap. My only issue is my donor vehicle is a 91 and has the vacuum lines running to the transfer case. If the spline counts ends up being different and I can't use my transfer case from my 96 due to the spline count being different, will the input shaft from the transfer case in the 91 fit in my 96 transfer case. (Assuming that they are both NP231s) I know my 96 has a 231 but not sure about the transfer case from the 91.
The vac module on the transfer case is only for controlling the front axle disconnect. It doesn't control anything in the transfer case so you can just leave it with no lines attached to it at all. On the 91 a vac line runs to it and sends vac back on different lines to the front axle depending on what position the transfer case shifter is in. Good luck.
