How do you remove the 4x4 shift lever handle I am trying to redo my interior and I would like to put a hurst pistol grip on it need help on how to take it off thanks

 

That's good idea!!!!!! I wonder if my old man will notice that his is missing from the wall.... do you have the trim panel off from around it yet?

 

I'm pretty sure the hinge portion is in the tunnel. the linkages snap together, so bring some small channel locks down there with you and disconnect it. you'll likely need to modify the arm a decent amount. Make sure this is something you really want to do...

 

I know how to disconnect the lever I just wanna know how to remove the stock shift ****/handle I don't like the look of it it I wanna put a hurst in
