Default 4wd vacuum actuator bypass

how can i bypass the vacuum actuator on the front axle? the diaphragm has gone bad and the front wont lock in now

take the 4 11mm bolts off that holds it on.. you ll see a shifter fork in the acctuator, take the c clips out that hold it in place and flip it the other way, clog the air ports that you no longer need with some rubber line and zip ties

Moving the fork won't leave the jeep in 4wd the whole time right? You still need to engage the t-case? Would this be like locking the front?
