Hi everyone
I have problems with my 4wd when i put it in 4lo i seem to loose the front drive....do anyone know why???

I'm not really sure on a 242 but I've had my 231 completely apart and that is physically impossible. The HI/LO and 2WD/4WD functions are done my completely separate mechanisms.

The hi4 works but not the lo4....

So you are saying 4HI works as advertised but, when you shift into 4LO you get the lower gear but no front drive, right? Or when shifting to 4LO does it just act like it goes back into 2WD HI?

242's are alittle wacky, I sold one to a guy I took out of a running jeep and when he put it in it was stuck in neutral....Pop the rod off the T-case and use a pry bar to make sure it's all the way back, I have had trouble with linkage adjustment with those.
