Default 450 for a bolt in ready 8.8

I found a guy who is selling a 8.8 with 4.10 disk breaks complete ready to bolt into my 88 xj
He is asking 450 is that to much or is that a far price??

how much does a junk yard rear end cost in your area? since a 4.10 8.8 with discs is a junk yard axle

then add maybe $160 for a swap kit and misc parts. whatever number that is is probably how much he has into the axle. and since no junk yard that I know of sells a rear axle for $290 he's probably making money off you. I'd offer $350

but if you can't weld then maybe $400 for that 8.8 is fair enough

I'd say jump on it. Offer something lower but be willing to pay the $450. Nice find!

i agree that its probably priced a little high for it being basicly a stock axle. if it had 4.56s there'd be no argument.

Gotta think about the time it takes to cut off the shock mounts and perches and clean it up plus mock up and welding. I know the time I had into mine was worth over $100. So I think its a really fair price.
