REALLY?! No one has tuned the pcm for a 4.0 past the hypertuner B.S. theres gotta be a place somewhere that does it and you send them yours and they send you a new tuned one to your engines specs...

ill try some of the local shops. i had my F-body LT1 full wideband tuned by a place out here and hes the ultimant best at those but he dosent know 4.0s...

i found some places on google but ill have to call to see if they can do my 4.7 since it says they do 4.0s.

figured someone on here has done this. what gives? i know its not a dragcar but power and torque is all the same.

P.S. i WILL have a 1/4 mile time slip to post just for fun as soon as gateway dragstrip is re-opened!

There is no way to "Tune" the PCM, it does not have an open architecture and cannot be reprogrammed.

There's no need to do anything to it anyway. It will control your 4.7.

x2, the best you can do is an adjustable MAP sensor and adjustable fuel pressure regulator with bigger injectors. That way you can rich it out to get alittle more power out of it

Can't do those either.

OP has a 2000 XJ. FPR is built into the fuel pump and is not adjustable.

Adjustable MAP Sensors are not an option for OBDII equipped XJ's.

Run 24lb Injectors and call it good.

actually i can send mine out and have a programed one sent to me... they redo the software and get a much smoother torque curve and HP curve. not to mention 30hp gain and equavilent fpt gains. ill run the stock one for a while until i get the tuned one. then ill do a thread to compare them for ya guys.

You can get the biggest injectors ever, wont matter, the computer only puts so much gas in... mustang ones from the JY is what im goin with.

you have no idea... I couldve swapped a 1970 340CI V8 into it. have a couple sitting around. but the 4.7 stroker is soooo bad that i had to do it.

you can build one for less than i did ($3,100) But i wanted all forged internals and a retarded Cam
