4.56 gears mpg
im new to the cherokee scene and im looking at a 98 cherokee sport with a 5 speed it has 4.56 gears im not sure what size the tires are i believe theyre 33s, what king of fuel mileage should i be expecting?

depends on your driving style a good bit but i saw average 15. some lil higher some lil lower 5sp 456s and 35s. if you dont mind me asking how much are they asking for the jeep

hes asking 6 for it, it has an old man emu lift, aftermarket bumpers, completely rebuilt engine, roof rack, full size matching spare, trail lights, lockers front and rear

Sounds like a very capable rig. Gears will probably be little deep but that is perfect for wheeling, and nice for when you step up to a 35"+ tire.

The mpg will be better with stop and go yet worse with highway... the reason is the engine will have to work faster to keep up with the lower gears and keep the jeep moving at a high rate of speed on the highway with means bad MPG....on the other hand the engine will need less power to get the jeep moving from a stop or up hills which makes for better MPG
