I'll spend the money on better parts this time. It just may take a little bit longer.

Sry to Hijack your Thred but I am trying to Decied between a 3 and 4.5in of Lift. I was thinking i could get a 3in lift and put 1.5in spacers up front. But reading this makes me nervous about that. What kind of problams did you have? and do you think that with a smaller spacer i would still have those?

I know Sorry

no problem man. you just have to know that if you do a 3" with the 1.5" spacer you need to make sure that you have the right parts for a 4.5" lift. doing a 3+1.5 isn't bad because there isn't much difference with whats needed, just a track bar depending on what your plan was with just the 3". I was already at 4.5" and put a 2.25" spacer so that's 6.75"! I definitely needed to adjust the position of the axle as you can see from the pic, the axle is pretty far back. At that height I should have at least needed control arm drop brackets and adj uppers but I was cheap and my track bar TRE ended up breaking on me 3 times in a year just from driving on the road. Bad geometry up front in general.
