I like rock krawler stuff a lot better but wasnt in my budget, I hate radius arms but for the same money you get high clearance arms, a new xfer case cross member & skid plate. I know the joints last since I ran their short arms for about 2 years. xfer case skid would of added another few hundred & unfortunately like most ppl Im not made outa $$.
the leafs is the 1 complaint I had with my buds xj lift.. 4.5" leafs on the factory shackle, never got that. he hasnt had any problems with the leafs after a year & been down the same trails I have. rides a lil stiff but @ $750 was $300 less than re, thats a sye kit with some change left over.

I don't know if you use Excel or not.
I just opened a sheet and opened new lines across the various components - arms, springs, coils, LCAs, brake line, shackles, etc.
This way I compared a different combos in each column, including thing I put together myself, and ready-made solutions like RE, RC, etc.
For me, at the end of the day, RE was just marginally higher than other solutions, with a much better reputation. I was also able to add Bilsteins, rather than settle for mediocre shocks that come with a package.
The fact I got a package deal from 4WD, for parts and install, helped a lot in my decision... After the discounts the RE solution ended up less than $50 away from the next one (Fabtech)...

Well said. Im running a 4 inch Pro Comp AAL (long) on mine. Im 32 and it rides great. Lifts are all a matter of taste and as needed basis. What one likes, others may not.Originally Posted by bnkk

In all seriousness im not gonna fight back and forth, this forum is great and very helpful lets try to contribute to that. Saying your opinion is cool just make it worth reading. It sucks doesnt help anyone.
Also my 200 got me good front coils, shocks that work (stock ones were shot) and if i want to go up i can use or sell those parts,really not much to be sure im into it instead of doing what ive done in the past and going all out on a car then changing my mind and selling it.

I'd actually argue that an AAL from RC would decrease the value. I know that if I was considering a cherokee with that kit on it, I would ask the PO to remove the kit or lower the price. at least if the OP gets quality parts the vehicle may hold some value. I was flaming the RC kit because he said that RE and RC would render the same difference in the end. very wrong. as for the OP, he wants a full pack kit that rides smooth. The thing is I'll get about $1100 towards the jeep in a week or so and I'm gonna do a tune up and fluid flush an spend then the rest towards lifts wheels or tires, I just don't know what to get first, I sure don't wanna roll on a 4.5" lift with stock tires/wheels, and I figured if I bought wheels and tires first then I could just piece together the RE kit as I get more money...What do y'all think I should get first?

honestly there are alot of things you can get by without... buy your coils, shocks and springs... I think your tires and wheels are gonna be your whole budget? just a sugestion

You should get your whole budget together. Find out the cost of everything and get it all at once. Don't buy half now and half later. And you shouldn't try to 'get away' with anything either

I would go for a 3.5" lift there from RE and i measured mine my 3.5" lift measured at 5" of lift before i put on my wheels and how my lift is new im not sure what the height will be one it completely settles (about 2mo. old) But ive read multiple review before i bought the lift how after it settles its between the 4-4.5" mark. And if you have the money id invest in a SYE kit. I was going to do this but i currently dont have the money and im not getting any vibes however at first i got the slightest bit you could hardly notice at 30mph but im also going to be getting one b/c i plan to go bigger down the road. And i wouldnt go for the 4.5" lift from RE b/c if you were to do that and they measure like the 3.5" kits then your looking at 6" of lift with tires gears and axles certianly wont be in the budget.
