Your main concern would be the rear leaf spring bolts.
I got my replacement from McFadden.
They are M120x20x14 iirc.

Quote: Thanks guys, I decided that I'm gonna piece together a 4.5" Superflex kit with full springs and adjustable control arms..where can i get the extra hardware, since one or two breaking is inevitable. I realize home depot or lowes, but is their a kit that has everything i need such as bolts and etc sold by RE?
The difference between the RE3.5 and 4.5 is the following:

Upper control arms
4.5" Coils
Disconnects

Spring packs are the same and they add shackles.

So if you buy a smaller lift (3.5"), add a 1" poly spacer for the coil ($20), add RE upper arms ($200) and a pair of shackles ($50), you can get to the same height on a chaper RE lift.

Naturally you still need to source some shocks.

At the price RC sells their lift kits, they cannot provide quality as well.

At 4.5" you don't need upper control arms. They are nice to have but if you have a budget they aren't necessary. I'm just under 5" and have stock uppers. Mine flexes great!

hah long arms are for sure not in the budget but if they were, believe me I would..can anyone explain why the 4.5" coils are cheaper than 3.5" on serious offroad?

Because RE makes a bunch more 4.5's than they do 3.5's.

not sure why everyone bashes rough country.. Ive had their 3" on my 1st heap, help install the 4.5" on a fellow jeepers 2001, Ive ran the adj upper/lowers & currently have the long arms.. no problems with any of them especially the long arms, no one comes close to them for bang for buck. best quality, maybe not but doesnt mean they sell junk.

get what fits your budget.. why blow your whole wad on just a lift kit when you can get somtin thatll give the same end result & have some change left for other stuff.

as for upper ctrl arms.. you dont need them @ 4.5" but if your gona push your jeep Id suggest replacing them. factory 1s are just thin stamped steel & bend easy enough, both mine where crushed when I got the rc adj upper/lowers.

Quote: Get the RE kit if thats your budget, i was told they are being made in india now if thats true their kits are going to suck bad. At work we tried to get a few different suppliers there, all parts were so bad the company ended up buying all the equipment to make it here (millions spent) but thats how bad there quailty and metal were.
RE Leafs have been made in India for Years , Nothing has changed since their take over with Trans American other than their warranty .

RC is Junk ! Take a ride and go wheeling in a Jeep equipped with a good suspension system an you will question your self on why you bought RC, I've run RC in the past on a 87 XJ Once it sagged with in 6 months I switched to RE an never had an issue again !

they DO sell junk. it most certainly will NOT have the same result as RE by any means. and you SHOULD blow your wad on a better kit so you dont have to replace it a year or two later. if you spend altogether $1700 on an RE 4.5, a sye and driveshaft combo, and bilstein shocks. that's only $70 a month for 2 years! thats nothing! and it will last longer than 2 years and have unmatched ride quality. the ONLY REASON you should buy an RC kit is because you're 16 years old or you havent done the research and found out that RC sells crappy crap.

go look on the 'teenagers post pics' thread in chat. 90% of those kids are running RC.
dont go telling people that a low quality kit will have the same end results as a high quality kit

Okay so I figured it out, the 4.5" wouldn't be very much more than the 3.5" so I'll probably piece one of those together

Thats right. You are not sure. But you will be sure one day. And as far as bang for the buck. I would have to be crazy to buy their longarms if you could get Rock krawlar 3 link for $600. And bang for the buck their leafs already cost me more then a set of 450$ Deavers, because I had to get shackle relocators since their leaves are too short.
