Default 4.5" lift tire question.

I'm in the process of installing a 4.5" lift and I'm trying to pick tires for my black steelies. Thinking about some 32x11.50 falken rocky mountains. I have them on my stock z71 just wanting some input on any other aggressive higher mileage tires. Thanks.

I had been checking out the cooper stt tires but was hearing very mixed reviews. I'm going to be primarily on road with some local OHV park trail riding.

Wanting to stick with 32s don't have the finances to regear yet and I really don't want to cut fenders on this jeep.

No need to regear on 33's, you'll get used to it in like a week. I just bought some 32x11.5 km2s, and would be getting 33's if it weren't for mine being a 4 banger.

I have the 31" cooper STTs and I love them. Really quiet on the highway, too. No problems on trails whatsoever.

Well that's good on the regearing I'm just not wanting to cut the fenders. I had to trim the flares on my 86 with the same lift with 32s. It rubbed when articulating pretty bad. The flares on this jeep a 98 seem larger anyway.

You cant physically fit anything larger than a 31 inch tire in the fender without trimming some.

Thanks for the input on the coopers. The complaints I saw was the sidewalls cutting too easily like the bfg mt I will be in rather rocky areas

Sounds more like you need some bumpstops.

I'll trim the flares some if needed just not wanting to hack the fenders until the body gets more beat up then I won't care lol. This things in great shape. At least right now. It was female owned grocery getter.

Well my local offroad shop is telling me I can run 33x12.50s on 15x8 wheels with 3.75 backspacing with only a small amount if trimming on the stock flares. So that looks like the route I'll be going for now, I'll probably just cut the fenders at a later date for better clearance when offroad.
