4.5 Lift Question
Hi, I plan on buying either a 98 or 99 Cherokee this Spring and was wondering what lift kit I should buy. I've been looking for at 4.5 lifts to get and was wondering what you guys think would be a good option for a price point of around $1500ish. I saw the Rough Country 4.5 long arm kit and the Rubicon Express short arm super flex kit, which were both in my price point, but I've heard many mixed reviews about the quality of rough country lift kits and the problems with short arm lift kits over 4 inches and don't know what would be the better option or if there's something better than both out there in this price point. Any suggestions?

Short arms will ride rough without drop brackets no matter where you get them from. Rough Country products are hit or miss, especially their bushings. The Rough Country suspension products must use cheap rubber as the rubber only lasts for a short amount of time(just a few years at most).
I'd go either:
Short arm and drop brackets
OR
Long arm
PLUS
plus shackle relocation brackets for the rear unless your short or long arm kit comes with them
