as far as short arm kits go, Rubicon Express 4.5 w/ spring pack has the most complete package with upper and lower control arms and track bar.

It depends whats more important to you, price or name-brand-fancy-ness, rough country is hard to beat for price, I just ordered a 4.5" from them. Everyone that gets rubicon express seems happy, its just more expensive. long arms or short arms? ... 'tis a complicated question with an expensive answer

I'd say RE is about the best, though it doesn't come with shocks, and is out of most people's price range. Rough Country short arm is what I'm going with since I haven't won the lotto yet, and there is a long arm upgrade that can be added down the road. Just like everyone has to be told around here it seems... stay away from add a leaf! get the full leaf packs.

You said best riding at 4.5"? Go long arm right off the bat. You'll achieve a great ride, awesome flex, and will be DONE WITH IT the first time around. Most people lookin for a nice ride at 4.5" end up going long arms a little later because the angles of the control arms are steep at 4.5" and make for a harsher ride.

I just got my first jeep back in the spring and I have been looking at lifting it. Would I be better off getting the RE 4.5" short arm or the RC long arm. They are comparable in price. I have never heard a bad thing about RE but would the RC with the Long arms be a better option? Or could I come out better piecing one together own my own?

I have the RC long arm kit and it's "alright". Nothing to be thrilled about, but it does ride better than a short arm kit. I pretty much had to replace half the kit so far cuz I had one of the original batches that didn't have enough R&D on it and things went bad or didn't work right.

Zone lift is a pretty good deal, it's an aal but I have no complaints and I use it as my daily driver. It's actually made by bds which is made in the USA.
