4.2 l xj with 4.0 head..... IS IT Possible????

4.2 l xj with 4.0 head..... IS IT Possible????
is it possible to bolt a 4.2 to a aw4 and put my stock 4.0 head on it and run all my sensors and stuff for it to operate properly

are the motor mounts the same and such i can get a 4.2 for 50 bucks with 60000 miles on it. it was swapped out of a 1987 wrongler im kind of new to the jeep community i mean motor swap wise

Why would you wanna swap a 4.2 in? A lot of CJ/YJ guys will swap a 4.0 head onto their 4.2 but in that case they are going forward, not backwards like what you would be doing.

100% correct i have a big whole it the block of my 4.0 from a connecting rod bearing failing and the rod breaking and going threw the block and i got a 4.2 for $50 so i just courious if its possible its mearly temparay until i can afford to get a 4.0 and rebuild it the way i want
