4.10 gears worth swapping in from 3.55s
Found a pair of axles with 4.10s. Currently running 33s my question is should I save up for 4.56 or 4.88 like I planned or swap in these axles with 4.10s?

How much is the difference in price? If not a lot Id save up more for the 4.56, heck even the 4.88. Wish I went with 4.88 over the the 4.56. I'm running 33's also.

if you want to go the cheep option get the 4.10 axles, and sell the stock ones to recoup some$$$
if you want to do it right save up for the gears you want/ones that are better for your setup
i run 4.10s now with 33's on steelies, its ok, but still lacks a lot on the highway, especially with the a/c on. i would have gone 4.56 but the axles im on only cost me my time/ oil/ and diff covers
id go 4.56 if your staying on 33's 4.88's if you plan on 35s

What are the 4:10 axles your looking at; Dana 30 and a Chrysler 8.25? That's a good set of axles for 33's. What kind of off roading do you do? Trails through the woods, rock crawling, mud, desert?
I've got that exact setup, 4:10 gears, 30 and 8.25 axles, 33" tires; for slow rock crawling using the stock transfer case you will want 4.56 or 4.88 gears. I'm running a 4.3 to 1 transfer case so I'm ok with the 4:10 gears.
