I just think he needs to do a lot more reading and understanding how forced induction works.I think he believes he can just bolt on a blower and make some insane power. And its going to be cheap. As someone that has ran blowers before i rather have a stroker or a bigger engine. In a daily driver the blower whine can get on your nerves after a while. And changing the gear oil in a sealed unit can stink bad.Same thing goes for old gear oil in a diff it stinks.

I'm not planning on getting it installed right away. I just want to get the one I have been looking at ordered while its there. This is going to be a VERY lengthy build.

Do yourself a favor and forget this $hit and just install a V8 in it, twice the HP and a breeze to tune FI plus 87 oct.

I have used Blowers and Turbo both on my race cars currently a twin turbo setup all are expensive to buy and keep up and I would not want either on a off road/DD XJ.

Been browsing for V8 donor jeeps for awhile. but i would be screwed when it comes to swapping engines. i have NO idea where i would even start and a shop would cost way to much.

You can buy a running driving v8 zj cheap enough if you look around.

My best bet if i wanted a v8 is to get a jeep shipped from a non salt state but thats kinda hard in S.D.

The rust means nothing other than cheap and has little to do with a engine swap and what your after, makes it better for you.

I could have swapped a 3.8 v6 into my 98 neon but instead went turbo. Did I spend more money yes, did I learn an incredible amount of very important universal knowlege yes. If this jeep is not a DD then I say go for it. Don't mod your daily first time doing this kinda stuff.

Here's some reading I did when I was researching.
This
And this
Those are two big ones I've got in my saved tabs. Seems to me allot more info out there about this. I just see more pros in doing the swap and a quicker completion vs turbo, as cool as it is.
Just my input, good luck which ever way you go!
