Thanks for all the input guys I sourced a waggy 44 and ford hubs today and im picking the tires up tomorrow.

I'll take 33s and 3" or less lift on a XJ any day of the week over 37s. Unless you're talking V8/full widths.

Nah I'll keep my big tires. Mine are barely big enough for the trails I ride. And my little 4L has plenty of power to turn them. Gearing is your friend, although mine are nowhere near low enough.
