If you came up with 10'' you got about 4 to 4.5'' of actual lift.In the front if you measure from top of axle tube to bottom rail of frame(unibody)stock is about 6.75''

So did I get screwed or what? I paid 700 for the lift kit, was told it was a 6.5 and im only getting basically 4.5 inches of lift out of it. I am so tired of craigslist and people taking advantage of other people on there. I mean how was I supposed to be able to check and see if it was actually a 6.5 I called rough country and they said just double check all of the parts where there and I did that.

I well do you have any suggestions for what I should do now. I have to have the 6.5 to be able to do what I want with these tires on here. And I am broke as can be now.

you can add a longer shackle for reasonably cheap but more lift is not going to get it to stop rubbing when your flexing. you need bumpstops or more cutting.

Look on junkyard build stickie and look at all the different stuff to get different heigth lifts and go from there probably the cheapest route

I already have the extended adjustable shackles in the back. I was thinking maybe to put a 2 inch puck and a 2 inch block with some bumpstops. I still think im going to have to trade my 35s for some 33s though cuz I just realized that they are rubbing inside the wheel well too

again, bumpstops.
do you know what bumpstops are? they limit your uptravel to prevent you from rubbing. get some taller ones, front and rear, and you wont have near as many rubbing problems. they will limit your flex a little but you will need to compromise to fit bigger tires. there are plenty of people running bigger tires with less lift then what you currently have and it works for them.

I no bump stops will help. I realized when I was checking out the measurements for the lift that one bump stop is completely gone and the other one is almost gone.

flex your rear end until just before your tire rubs. measure the distance where your stock bumpstop mounts and where it makes contact with the axle and you will need that much plus a couple inches to make up for the compression of the bumpstop. aftermarket lift companies make them and you can also find universal ones to make work from an auto parts store, jegs, summit and places like that.
