ok si i found these 33x12.5 r15 with some american racing rims for 300 bucks the only problem is the tires are pretty close to the treadware thing so i was wondering if anybody has any idea how long i can drive on the road with them beffore they need to be replaced? thanks

It depends on what you're doing with them, how hard you run them and if you have a heavy right foot. If they aren't completely down to the wear lines yet then they could last you a while if you take care of them. Main thing you want to look at is uneven wear, buldging, cuts, stuff like that. Just rotate them often to keep the drive tire as fresh as possible. Also, can you clear 33's completely, without rubbing anywhere? Rubbing on the fenders, bumper, pinch seam, control arms, etc will lead to faster wear.

Then the previous owner had too much air in them for the vehicle they were being used on. I would drop the pressure to around 30-35 and run the s*** out of them. Should be alright for a while. Having the correct pressure in them will aid in the middle taking longer to wear down cause the outsides will take a lot of the load bearing requirements.
