Default 2" Lift questions

Thinking about putting a 2" lift on 2000 XJ (for $67) and the kit includes coil spacers and 1 add-a-leaf for each side on the rear, my question is if later on down the road when I buy a bigger lift will I be able to build on top of whats allready there or will it have to be removed?

oh and when I say a bigger lift I plan on the Rough Country 4.5 about a year from now.

$67 is good price, get it. You can build on it in future.

Would the 3" Front and 2" rear (adj. shackles) Lift be better cause I see those for $80-90

(The 2" covers 30" tires and the other lift claims 31")

and would i need a allignment after the coil spacers

and the answer your questions i'm shoppin around on e-bay lol

if you can weld you can do a 2.6" lift for around $40-50

go to your favorite autoparts store and ask for part number 13-4100 (superior automotive GM lowering shackle)

on the rear of your jeep it will give you 2.6" of lift if is around $35-$40

then you can make a matching coil spacer for the front I made a pair of them for only $9

http://www.madxj.com/MADXJ/technical...oilSpacers.htm

the main thing if you make your own spacers is lift the rear first then make the front spacer to level it out...

I can tell you this... with the right amount of fender trimming you CAN fit 33s on NO lift... so making 31s work on 2" lift is a walk in the park

Well unfortunatly my jeep is actually the wifes and she has recently agreed to let me start puttin stuff on it but fender trimming is out of the question at the moment.

Those front coil spacers separate are $20 so I probally wouldn't really waste my time trying to build them.

I figured if i went with the 2"F and 3"R lift I could probally safely flex without scrubbing on 30s.

But with that lift will it sit level?

I run 30's with no lift and no rub.... But a 2 in lift would let me flex more till I can go higher

It depends how much your leafs are sagging. Could you post a pic?

Take a measurement from tire to the bottom of the flare front and rear....add your lift accordingly.... if your rear sits 2 inches lower than the front factor that in

mines sagging a bit in the rear, i plan on getting a set of jy springs in better shape and adding a few leafs for more support rougher ride but IMO stronger and I'm going to put a small spacer in the front to level it

well I went ahead with the spacers and add-a-leaf but bow want to go bigger with 3" springs and 2" shackles on top of what i allready have.

I know i will need a TC drop and shocks but will i have to get:
-lower/upper contol arms?
-SYE kit?
-can i just unbolt my brake lines?
-longer drive shaft?
