Default 33's on 4.5"

Im trading my 30/9.50's for some near new 33/12.50's i have a 4.5" rc lift. How much trimming am i going to need to do? Is this lift a good combo with 33's if it helps i have crager soft 8's with 3.5 bs

a little bit, depending on how you set your bumpstops. ive got similar BS on 33x12.50 (4.5" lift) and I trimmed pretty far, but I am maxing out my shocks at bump and my axle is 2" forward. As far as I could tell, I only rubbed in the front and back of the fender, not the top. You definitely will need to cut some from front/back or you wont be able to turn the wheel

Only way to be sure is to flex and measure.

if you don't want to cut the fenders out you will need to bumpstop i am running roughly 4-5" longer bump stops. banged the fenders up and run stock flares.

You will not be able to turn the wheel all the way with untrimmed fenders. After trimming there are no issues.

I think its a perfect combo I love mine.

Good I have no noticeable difference which makes me think it was already regeared but I'm not sure how to check with out pulling the diff cap off I go about 75 easy on the freeway my gauge is off by about 10 mph so it says I'm going 65 when I'm going 75

X2.I run the same set up.You should trim it imo for more room and flex. There is a differece between just clearing 33s and making your set up do what it should.

As a point of reference my XJ is at 4" in the front on stock LCAs. I had to trim the back of the fender to clear the 32s. My 33s aren't gonna go on without a good bit more trimming - or I just need to get off my *** and install my long arms and 4.5" springs.

The moral of the story - run the correct length LCAs for your lift to move the axle back to the right position (The higher you go the more the axle moves backward).
