32 gallon XJ gas tank
has anybody ever used the NWMP 32 gallon gas tank? i was looking to get one but cant find one. i called NWMP but they were closed so i will call again tomorrow. here is the link to an install of one:

i already have the shackle relocation brackets so having the gas tank sit 2" lower is not a big deal to me. i would really like it so i don't have to carry extra fuel on trips, and able to drive completely through Oregon without having some ******* pump gas for me (stupid Oregon law!). my gas tank is all dented from when i only sat on a 2 inch lift, and only holds 16 gal anymore anyway. Now i sit on a 6.5" long arm and have no more clearance issues with my gas tank (well not yet at least).

Another one to consider is the tank from Genright: http://www.genright.com/ProductInfo....ductid=GST3003 Holds 30.5 gallons, but also includes a very stout 3/16" skid plate. The tank itself is aluminum, so overall this weighs less than the NWMP tank, even with the skid plate. It's pricey, but like most things, you get what you pay for...

wow that is alot of bones for that Gen Right one, but it is a really nice piece. the one i was looking at is less then half that price, and i dont need to buy a new fuel pump. i will attempt to get ahold of the NWMP guys tomorrow, but i would rather have a bigger gas tank then carry the gas cans.

I have one similar to the mwmp one,, it's a homemade tank and who ever did it, did a pretty good job at it to, used a external pump and two filter one before to the pump and the stock one after. And best part it was free when I got a parts Jeep for free. And its took a beating too.

i would just get a custom made one, especially since my axle is getting moved back due to axle upgrade and 4 link. but genright is perfect for those running basic set ups

The Genright tank is the best one out there, but keep in mind that it DOES require the 97+ fuel pump module (which ain't exactly cheap either).

Aerotanks also makes a 30 gallon tank, but I would stay away from those. I had problems with the vent/rollover valve, which was also positioned in a crappy place (in the front left corner instead of centered like NWMP's). Plus the thing weighs a ton.
Genright's is light and includes two Mopar rollover valves, which is the best way to go.

I just got the GenRight tank and skid it is not light it is 125lb for the tank and skid. It is very well made you will have to cut the tailpipe off at the muffler and have it moved and drill some holes in the frame to install some RivNuts.
