Default 31 inch tires rubbing

i have a 3 inch rustys lift on my 96 cherokee with 31 inch wrangler A/T tires on 15x8 soft 8s. the tires are rubbing on the LCAs at full lock. i tried to adjust my steerings stops but the bolts are so rusted on they wont come off. (even after days of being sprayed with PB blaster)

is the only way to stop this from happening is buy new wheels with more backspacing?

and any suggestions of getting the bolts out?

thanks,
joma

there are few fixes to that.

1 - steering stops
2 - buy rims with a better suited backspacing
3 - wheel spacers
4 - deal with it

What is your backspacing on your current wheels?

I have this same issue with my 31s and stock rims... for now I am just dealing with it but going to look into spacers unless I find a good/cheap set of rims

Thats crazy you have rubbing. I have the same lift with 31 inch km2s Cragers soft 8s 15x7 with 4 back spacing and no problems

I would highly recommend wheels over spacers.

you could try them. but it could be wasted effort. depends on how bad they rub and how much more Clearance you need.

some people run 12.50's on 4" back spacing without issues.

I've got 11.50's on 4" backspacing, with no rubbing issues. So im pretty confident a 12.50 would fit fine
