I was just wondering on which size tires i want to go with on my 1998 XJ. I have a 3" RC lift and was thinking if I should go with 31x10.5 or the 32x 11.5. I plan on doing fender trimming and Im pretty sure I'll have enough flex room still left to go offroading. Can anyone help me out on this one and give me a lil more advice, since i am new to the XJ world.

 

with a little trimming yes...

I ran 285/75/16 (actual 33.25 x 11.25) on an RC 3" lift...

lots of trimming... but it worked pretty well

 

I just got done with a rustys 3 inch kit..netted about 3.5. I threw some beefy bfg Mt Km2s on and it looks like a damn tank.

 

Yea Im guessing I will go 32's with trimming. do u have pics of ur XJ with those tires?

i got rc 3" myself with 31s right now but i need new tires the front ones are bald. i was thinking of buying some 32s instead myself... i want them to be just a little more noticable

 

Im really happy with my setup..I'm gonna go 5 inches soon..just gonna add a good spacer and prolly new leafs later this yr. Then I'll bump up to 33s

 

With that said though I like how 3.5 and 31 km2s look

 

Check out my build thread. I have pics of both 31x10.50 and 33.12.50 on my XJ with 3" lift. Take into account the amount of trimming I have done.

 

XJ88, yea it does looks nice... Guess Im gonna go with 32's then with trimmming. I'll go take a look at ur build sneek.
