I am at 4.5 though, straightned my front lines and used a lengthened rear.

What I did is removed all the shocks and ground a little where the control arms were hanging up. and I made a bastard pack in the rear that has a lot of droop. So I could see how far the suspension would go.
I set the shocks up so they extended an inch past the point of complete flex but never bottomed when fully compressed.

Then when I flexed out, my front lines I could have ripped off but I turned the wheel slowely thinking they may be short from the amount of flex I was getting. Unfortunately I thought the rear was ok, and I ended up pulling the line off..

So I had to extend front and rear.

Anyways, I did not know since I never owned a 3in kit if he would have to extend the lines? From what you guys say he should be fine?

Idk I've never seen what stock ones look like compared to mine...I know I did a full break job on it when I first got it maybe they replaced them with longer ones idk...the flex in the front sucks a little yea but in the rear it flexes good and no problems..

I just cut my rear off when installing my lift cause I was in a hurry and didnt want to take the time to unbolt it lol..Ended up with a dakota rear line (bout 6 inches longer). My front lines are straightened out completely and get a tad tight at full droop

Thanks. Those will eventually make it on the TJ, after I get my 35" krawlers.
