The guys at my local performance shop can get me the rough county kit with shocks, control arms, everything including shipping for $400. And I can have it in 2-3 days. So I'm thinking that's a pretty good deal. I'm still trying to see if there's a better deal out there

So, I found me a wicked deal on some tires. I got a almost brand new 31's off Craigslist for $150. Threw them on today because my stock size tires were showing chords. Lol. But they fit, just a little rubbing. I must say, even with the tires alone, I already like it. I may look into the 4.5 kit. I'm not looking at towering over everyone, I just want to look bigger than stock. There's really no place to go wheeling around here

you should go to the florida group window here, there are probably a lot of people in your area ,who know where to go . i have a 3 in ,skyjacker lift on my 95,when i first saw it , had 32s, they looked good but were too big. caused bad gas mileage , and rubbed.just before i got it the owner switched to 235s.they were too small.i have a new set of 31s coming tommarow.its what most folks seem to be running,on here. good luck w/your search.please post build pics.

Thanks! Yea I like the 31's. I went out playing yesterday and tried it out. Seems to already be a pretty big difference. I'm thinking I'm going to be doing a PVC snorkel today
. I'm really happy with the truck. Bought it from my dad back about 2 years ago for $300. She still runs strong as ever. But I think either the 3-4.5 would be perfect. I'll have pics up soon

You should be fine with 3" as long as you are fine with trimming a little bit and you bumpstop correctly. I would definitely do lift coils in the front and a full pack (or bastard pack) in the back + a shackle (and/or HDOR shackle relocation brackets). Anything higher, and you will definitely need aftermarket control arms (at the very least LCAs), possibly CAD brackets at 4.5"+, adjustable track bar, extended brake lines, most likely SYE/HnT. Low center of gravity is your friend.
Only reason I have 4.5" in front is I traded my friend my 3" coil to help him out with an xj he was selling.
