The adjustable track bar allows you to "re-center" the axle laterally after changing suspension height. A stock TB will tend to pull the axle to the driver side with an increase in height.

You really don't need a trackbar at that height. Plenty of people including myself have driven XJs lifted 3" and lived to tell about it.

Sorry about the last post I forgot you're the OP, well the track bar holds the axle to where it should be, once the body is higher the track bar moves the axle to the left. You'll notice the difference once you get it back on ground. You will need to either move the bolt or get an adjustable. Here's a link to how to relocate the mount, but instead of inventing some device like he did just drive back and forth a couple feet in order the line up the axle (I didn't do that sadly)

You don't need a welder, just a breaker bar, ratchet, right size sockets and drill bit, a strong drill and about an hour of your time

It's at 90 degrees, my skid plate doesn't like when I work on any steering so I haven't gotten around to fixing it yet

There are 2 bolts on the drag link, loosen those up and twist that section. When the steering wheel is straight... retighten those bolts. Helps to have someone watch the wheel for you. make sure your front tires are straight ahead before you begin.

Well headed home due to a problem I'd rather not mention so my budget will be super thin now. But do I measure 3/4 over from center line of current hole or from edge of current hole?

I was told after that I should of unbolted it, drove it back and forth to center the axle and drill where the track bar rested after that, at worst go from the opposite edge of the current hole I believe

I was thinking two people on each side of the jeep shake it back and fourth a few times as then drive back and forth a couple times would work .
