Default 2nd battery

I decided to move my secound battery up front under the hood

All i used was a factory battery tray from the driver side and it bolted right in and i ran wires over from stock battery and tied em together. (. I had it in the back had 2ot welding cable running back there for the batt and sub amp which the 2ot is still ran back there for the amp). And the batts are tied together with 2 ot welding cable

And if your wondering why i have rope holding the batt in i broke the post that hold the cross bar in place

I need to do this one day. But I would highly consider a "cowl intake" with your current setup.

Why 2 batteries and not a higher output alternator?

Ranger with 2.3L has an inline filter in a filter box(tube really) that works really well and it seals up nicely. Not sure what years but 1997 has it. Should go back to 1994 i believe.

all kinds of benefits, one battery to jump the other, use an isolator switch to jump to 24v for select air compressors and winches

I ask because MOST people will gain nothing from running two batteries.

Usually the real benefit is getting rid of the crappy, low amp output alternator.

I believe stock output is 90a, most bump up to a 136a alt out of a Grand Cherokee, or get their current unit rewound.
