2inch lift and driveline vibes
Hey all, I have a 2001 jeep Cherokee with a 2 inch lift. I wasn't planning on doing the lift but it came with half a lift already installed. I didn't think I would end up with drive line vibes but sure enough I have some minor vibes so now I'm wondering if a transfer case drop with 1/2 inch spacers would take care of the problem. Please don't tell me to get a SYE, I'm an unemployed high school student and I can do the spacers for about $10

With only a 2 inch lift, you won't need an SYE. Before doing a t-case drop, make sure all your ujoints, motor mounts and transmission mount is in good shape. You will get vibes if any of those are worn. Did the vibes only start when putting the lift on? The t-case drop would help in that case.

I wish I knew. When I got it the tires weren't even balanced so it vibrated all over the place, I had the tires balanced after I put the rear lift on, it came with 2 inch coil spacers in the front. After the balance the vibes were aroun 55-58 and over 80 is scary as hell (I don't drive that fast anyway) I believe the ujoints are good since there's no play in the driveshaft. How do I check the motor and trans mounts?
