249 to 231 output shaft swap.
I have a 231 that came out of a 98 xj i want to swap into a 98 zj that currently has a 249 with a bad VC. Thanks to the killer writeup done by JrMechanic it sounds like this shouldn't be a problem.
But this 231's output shaft is bad due to a botched hack n tap job. So I'm wondering if its possible to take the output shaft of the 249 and put it into the 231... then put the 231 into the zj.
I figured I would ask first before opening both these guys up.
