Sorry if this doesnt belong here but I got a basically free newly rebuilt 2001 ZJ with a blown tranny. I have a 94 XJ that is seeing her final days engine wise and I was wondering if I could swap that into my XJ. Everything looks exactly the same except the whole engine is sitting more to the right versus my XJ is centered. I only have one chance to do it and wanted to be very sure.

 

Do you mean a 2001 "WJ"? If so you will have a lot more to do than just swap the engine.

 

WJs have a slightly different block from XJ/ZJ/YJ/MJ. It won't just bolt up.
