It'll be a dog, over-work your engine and trans, and cost you lots of money at the pump. Re-gear. 4.56 if manual, 4.88 if auto.

Ask me how I know.

Do what you will. Doesn't change facts.

I drove mine for a good bit with no re-gear. Bought tires on a great deal, with the intention of regearing right after, became unemployed, and had to wait for gears.

Can it be done? Sure.

But at a cost. And it's gonna suck.

4.56 with a manual? I love my 35s with 4.10s. 4.56 would be too much imo

Here is a gear vs tire size chart http://jeeptalk.org/gear_chart.php You sure you have a 3.73 gear ?That gear stock is only 4.0 auto with the factory tow package or upcountry package. Most 4.0 auto are 3.55 and 4.0 stick is a 3.07.As a off road toy 4.88 would be best to run.

Factory tow package or a trailer hitch someone threw on it later?

To each his own, 35's with manual trans running 4.56 puts you as close to stock gearing as possible.

What they are all trying to tell you is that it will be a "Real PIG" no power, hard on engine and trans with very bad MPG's.

I run 35's on stock gears. I get around 160m range, that's on the normal daily driving. I don't mind it but I also don't take it on the highway often.

I've been running 35s and stock 3.55 gears for over a year now. I get around just fine but I sucks. I get like 12mpg and can't get out of my own way. Can't go up any hills without downshifting. OD is basically useless. Only reason I feel okay about it is because I have a trans cooler and temp gauge but it's still hard on everything. Best way to kill a transmission.
