Once I got the method down, it wasn't that bad.

Diggin the motor mounts! I have a set on their way and am waiting to install my Golen 4.6 Stroker....cant wait

I would advise against banks. I've had 3 sets of them in the same jeep. They all keep cracking at the collection point. They have a life time warranty but it still sucks to be doing all that work every time they go bad. Here is a pic of one that split.

One thing you will notice about the aftermarket headers for the 00-01 XJs is that weather it's the Banks, Flowdaddy, or any other manufacturer they ALL look the same, and they are ALL built out of the same type of stainless steel.

That being said, I'm a little put off by the Banks headers high price tag. You can basically get the exact same header from a lesser known brand for cheaper.

Didn't even know those existed! Borla is top notch so I'm sure those things are great.

Definitely a little spendy though!

i did the banks and haven't had a problem. Change you Cat and catback. do the O2 sensors as well while you're at it. Banks does 25% quarterly. call them, they'll help you out.

saw the one guy who said he's trashed a few. I doubt that unless you're really running it in hard weather. otherwise in my dealings id imagine they would warranty it

They warranty it every time, but won't pay for the labor to have a shop take it out and replace it for you. They are a very honest company, but even when I'm moving quickly, it takes me a good 8 hours to swap in a new set. That's no fun when you did it within a year. It's good to see you had some luck and haven't had issues. Their designs may have improved lately.
