Default 2000 Cherokee XJ lift height

Trying to find out how to measure the lift height on my 2000 Cherokee XJ with cut fenders, where should the measurements be taken?

this one has been asked a thousand times in the short period of time I have been on this forum, but I see you are even newer then me, so here is the answer:

from the top of the axle tube to the frame - 6" in the front, 6.5" in the rear if I remember correctly, this is the factory measurement.

try figuring out the search feature, there is tons of info on here... some members here get short with new people who dont search first.

Default Thanks

I am 54 years old trying to help out my 17 year old son! So if people are impatient or intolerant of others I really don’t care. Thanks for the info and heads up!

We could be twin brothers...

this forum and NAXJA are both excellent sources of info, there are some very knowledgeable members. The XJ is an old platform so there isnt a ton of new traffic on these forums, but I would consider them "active". The XJ seems to be hitting the age where it is gaining fans. It really is a good bang for the buck.

I have had one for about 5 or 6 years, it was parked for the last few. I just started fixing it up 6 or 8 weeks ago. These things are pretty easy to work on. It is an excellent vehicle for you and your son to work on together. I didnt mean to deter you from asking questions, just know they have all been asked before and sometimes the search function will get you a quicker answer.
