Maybe i got it wrong and it was a dakota? I not tracking dodges all that well with size/model, but it was one of the two. My biggest concern is not with how high the lift is, but if the width and lenght are right, and if any modifications are needed to locaring the axle on them (forgot the name of the hole/pin that keeps the axle from sliding on the spring).

Obviously Id want to have the front and rear roughly equal in lift, but im not picky about it, just cheap.

Great info from everyone on the 2 inch lift, Thanks. I have a few questions about lifting my 1992 Cherokee?
1. Where can I purchase quality springs with no lift, just returning my jeep to it's original height without the aged sag? i.e. what brand?
2. If I then put the 2 inch shackles on the new springs and have 2 inch lift in the rear, I would like to raise front up 1 & 1/2 inches. I DO NOT want the front equal or higher than rear! Is it possible to purchase front springs and or spacers that only raise front up 1 & 1/2 inches?
I am not interested in larger tires , just stock, therefore don't need the 3 inch lift.
Are there any drawbacks to the drive shaft U joint or other drive train stuff when doing a 2 inch lift in rear and 1 & 1/2 in front? Does something else need modifying, like longer suspension arms in front end? Thanks, Mr Ed

OME (old man emu) sells leaf springs at stock heights. JKS sells an adjustable coil spacer. I believe it starts at 1.5 and upto 2.5 but its what you need it sounds like.

Depending on your jeep, all are not equal, you may need a transfer case drop kit (two metal pieces that lower your transfer case). But that is only if you get driveline vibrations. Some dont evenget them even at 4.5inches lift. Everything else is fine. Longer shocks would be recommended but not needed

Rusty's offroad has a set of coils springs for 2" of lift

"old man emu" has the 2930 springs that are supposed to give around 1.75" and the 2934 springs that give around 2.5"

You can use almost new take off shocks from a Jeep JK or JKU for 2-3" of lift. Usually you can find them cheap on Ebay or Craigslist for around $50 for all 4.

I did a 1" lift in front and about 1&1/2 in rear. It looks great! I have an 92 XJ and it just gave it a new look. Took away the aged sag. I used a spacer in front and new leafs in rear. No shackle or anything used in rear. Yes, I have read that new coils in front from a ford or some other brands works great. But the spacers work fine and are cheaper.
Here are photos of before, during and after. Yes, I wish I had about 1/2 to 1 inch more lift. But I did not want 3 inches. So I think you are right on with a 2 inch lift. In the spacer photo you can see the old spacer is 1 inch thick. The new one is 1 3/4 thick, so it added 1 inch in front. Good luck

Old coil with old spacer at top. Spacer is 1 inch thick.

Old spacer 1 inch thick, new spacer is 1&3/4 inches thick. New lift will then be 1 inch in front.

New spacer.

Does not matter the year Jk/JKU shocks...The red ones are off a Rubicon, the black ones I believe can be from the Sahara or the sport?

As far as the rear goes, there are a few different ways ---You can get the OEM "upcountry" leafs, which add an inch to stock height, then add a 1" shackle, or adjustable shackles. Or just the standard OEM leaf springs with 2" shackles.

you could add just a 2" lift shackle, but I would replace the old worn out leaf springs.

Rancho also makes 1.5" leaf spring for the XJ.

Old man emu makes leaf springs that will raise it 2.5". They are the cso33rb leaf springs. The full pack of leafs gives you 3.5", you remove one leaf and that gives you 2.5" of lift. This will bring the rear higher than 2" (obviously), so if you use Rusty's 2" coils you might need a .5" spacer up front to level it out.

You can also get some lift out of shackle relocation brackets that can be added in also.

Keep in mind if you do replace the leafs, some of them do not come with bushings(Old man Emu for one). You have to purchase them separately and press them in.

Hey Dan, I used JC Whitney and the leaf springs were Crown brand. They cost $185 for a set of 2, don't forget to buy all 4 new bushings, $41 for all 4. They came delivered right to my front door. They lifted my rear end up about 1 & 1/2 inches. If you then want to go higher than that, just use a shackle. Hope this helps.

Uhm so this is the plan Sir's.
Rusty 2inch Coil Spring -150$ or 2inch Coil Spacer and use my old spring for the mean time.(maybe ill go with the spacer hoho)
Bastard Pack s-10 or Dakota( I decide to build a BP, tight budget right now) 50$/Pair
JK Shocks - 50$/4pcs.(Front and Rear)
Longer And Bigger Centering Pin for my BP - 20$/2pcs.
I will just reuse my Ubolt,i think it will still fit the 2 inch lift.
Anymore suggestions Sir? Or is there still missing? I really want a budget build for now, because i cant go to work yet, Still waiting for my Greencard Emigrant/Immigrant/New comer problem hoho. Thank you so much

This is the cheapest, without shocks. You can use the JK shocks, or Bob sells the same kit with shocks. Not sure if you can piece this together a little cheaper or not, and not sure how good these parts are.

You really shouldn't do that...u bolts should be replaced when you remove them
