Default 2.5L to 4.0 L engine swap

How difficult and is it worth the swap? If not what can I do to get more power out of my 2.5L

Turbo it. I'm not joking

That swap isn't really worth the time, because 4.0 jeeps are everywhere. Just my opinion

That's what I thought until recently. I've read over a couple threads and it takes a lot more big stuff than I thought. To the point where it's not worth it for just a 4.0. Probably just slightly less work than shoving in an LS motor.

JP mag did some upgrading to the 2.5, they claimed about an 80hp increase which has been questioned. Intake, full exhaust (including header), roller rockers, electric fan (to replace the belt driven), ignition, throttle body, and turbo. They swap gears too and claim a hp gain from that, I'm no pro mechanic so take my opinion for what it's worth, but I've always thought that gears keep en engine in a better powerband, or take advantage of an engine power, never heard of gears adding power. Also, I see no mention of improved fuel delivery, maybe look into better injectors or a higher flowing pump, especially with a turbo. Anyway, take a look for yourself. http://www.fourwheeler.com/how-to/en...-power-adders/
