Hi everyone, So i lifted my cherokee with a skyjacker 2 inch budget kit ( front spacers and rear shackles ), i also installed medium duty new rear leaf springs. My jeep looked nicely leveled first ( front and rear ), but after several miles driven the rear looked lower than the front. Apparently this seems normal leafspring going down a bit. My question is: If i install skyjacker 2,5 inch rear leaf springs on it and keep the 2 inch front spacers will it be ok for the drivetrain ? ( lifted leaf springs are better than shackles, no ? ) I know that it will be an easy install and fit properly and the rear will stand a bit higher first. What do you think about it ?

Forget skyjacker. Spend a lil more and get OME 2" leaf springs full pack. What year is your jeep

Thanks for advice. OME are better than skyjacker ? My jeep is a 97 cherokee incline 6 aw4. Will these 2.5 inch leafsprings match with the front 2 inch spacers ?

Like most good quality leafs. They Will sit higher at first. Buy some sand bags and you can weigh it down for a week or so. OME is very reputable for their leaf springs. Zone is also a good company for leaf packs. They are made by BDS iirc. Stay away from RC, skyjacker and i forgot the last one.

Since you already have new springs, you might consider installing a shackle relocation kit which will give you about an inch of lift as a side effect.

Problem with SOME relocators, they add extra pressure which Will bow even new stock springs. Trust me about that lol. but only some.

Thanks for your answers guys, the trick is that already 2 inch lifted leaf springs don’t seem to exist. The only ones i found was the 2.5 inches by skyjacker or rancho ( morris 4x4 center).

My cherokee sits exactly like the one «*cherokeetalk forum*» page , second picture : «* 2. Old spring with 2" shackles and front coil spacers.*»

http://cherokeetalk.com/forum/f8/rea...uestion-13333/

Will it better and look like picture 3 if i install these 2,5 inch leaf springs ? Is there any danger for my jeep to put these on and keeping the 2 inch front spacers ?
Right now my XJ is the family rig and i don’t want to go higher. In a close future i intend to buy a used Jeep Commander to be the next family rig, only then i will go with a full 3 inch lift kit ( Old Man Emu of course )for my cherokee.
