2-3" lift shackles for 34 bucks, pic intensive!
So I was reading another thread today and came across these shackles a fellow member was talking about. Part number 13-4100 at vato zone. These shackles are made for lowering a leaf sprung vehicle but in our situation work perfect for lifting your rear end anywhere from 2-3 inches depending on the slot you choose to use.

I started by removing the old shackles obviously, I dont feel I need to take a step by step process with anyone considering how easy it is... but ill put up the pictures anyways, you can see where the old shackle was backing up to far and began ripping the uni body.

The only problem I ran into, is that the bushing with the sleeve for the upper part of the shackle, is a little to wide. So I took a hack saw and cut it flush with the bushing and it fit 100% perfect. The bottom of the shackle is very slightly to wide for the leaf eye, so I just tightened it to spec and left it alone.

Final impressions are very amazing, it flexes amazingly and never even took a tire off the ground till I couldnt stuff the tire anymore. For people wondering what I am running I have a 3 inch rustys lift with 31" mickey thompson baja claws. i know I am lifted a little more in the rear then in the front but honestly I like it that way because it helps me see on steeps trails. The flex is just superb for a 3 inch lift, I had my front swaybar on so thats why the front is slacking it... Not sure what the shackles make the lift come out to in the rear, I would say about 4.5-5". But I am 100% vibe free, took it on the highway and hit 75 no vibes, no clunks, feels better then it did before.

NICE to see someone finally listening... I have been talking about these shackles for a while now... they are hard to beat for the money and VERY well made
just for the record... I have a set setting around here... if you measure them they are 6.325" at the shortest setting and 8.325" on the tallest setting
stock shackles measure 3.125" from eye to eye... so these shackle will give you either 1.6" of lift or 2.6" of lift... that is assuming a bad shackle angle that is straight up and down... truth is is will be less if your shackle angle is correct (around 45 degrees)

I love them, thanks for bringing them up, lol. From what I can see I would say Im sitting at about 5" of lift in the rear, and that is with my tool box, my sub box, which holds two tens, my spare, my sleeping bag, and my emergency bag. I think I will be perfect with a full load of people at browns camp. I am at the highest setting by the way, my rear leaf eye would not fit into the next slot up... I would have had to notch the metal with a grinder

hmmm mine sits at 20" right now without the shackle. was trying to figure out how much these would lift mine. and stock is 17" rear from the center of the hub to the bottom of the flare.
