Default 1998 wheel size suggestion

Just purchased this Beautie.
I am going to install a 3” or 4” lift. What are your suggestions on wheel and tire size? I want a smoothe ride with a little bit of off roading, mainly to take decoys out to the duck blind.
I was thinking a 3” lift with 30” tires. 15” rims with a 4” Back step.
ant input would be greatly appreciated. Bumpers and top rack next on the list.

At some point after you get that 3 inch lift you are going to want more lift. Go 4 inch lift with 31s and 15x8s or 15x10s

3 inch lift with 31s on 15x8 wheels with 3.75 backspace, I ran that setup for a couple years and it worked great.

31s on a 3" lift work very well. I ran that for years

I also have a 3" lift with 31" tires on 15x8 wheels with 3.75" of backspacing.
No rubbing-looks great.

now the big tire selection. Lots to choose from. Do you happen to know anything about the Cooper AT3 4s tires?

I had those on a couple of vehicles, didn't like them at all.

They were terrible off road, in the snow and wore out quick.

I very much like my maxxiss razr mud terrains

Since you want a smaller tire your on track to do it right

Traction tires, sawzall grinder, safety recovery gear, bumper, winch, lockers tools.
lift doesnt need to be on the list at all. There are some good deals on tires from ebay and simple tire.

Then get it it dirty learn how capable it is or isn't have fun and run it as your wants and needs will change and evolve as you get some time in it
