I've installed a lot of stereos in a lot of different vehicles even a jeep but I have never installed one on anything with a power antenna. The wires are not cut and I have everything I need not to cut them. So my question is how do I keep the power antenna working?
Need help asap, my stereo is in bad shape and I have to have music.
Thanks guys

i just scraped the power antenna, it worked sometimes other times didnt, just bought a cheap short one from wally world, and it works great, only issue im having now, is my radio resets sometimes, only when i turn over the jeep though it can sit for days and if i just turn on the power with the key, everything is fine, but if i turn the key all the way and turn it over it resets, wierd?!?

On mine the wire at the radio is a dark green with a red tracer however mine is a '98. You could start by looking to see if the color is the same. If not the wire have 12 volts with the radio on and 0 volts with the radio off.
Chances are the new radio has a blue wire for power antenna. Most have blue for antenna and blue/white is for amp turn on. Some only have blue/white, if that is the case then use the blue/white.
