I have an 89 jeep cherokee xj, with a 4 inch lift, and it has an adjustable track bar that is rather loose, more like wornout at the joint. Now, I heard that it'll possibly cause the death wobble. I want to be sure though.

Any loose or miss-aligned component can cause death wobble. Start there my friend
