1 ton axle swap help please
trying to swap some full length 1 ton axles under my 2000 xj want to run 37s or 40. Lots of questions what axles what breaks can you use stock t case? Thinking 513 or 538 gears . Will be doing rear coil conversion as well. Pretty much don’t know where to start.

If you are asking these questions, you may be best to get a shop to do the work for you.
That's a huge job(s) to be learning on.
1) Yes, you can use the stock tcase if you have the same side drop front axle (but a stronger one from a 1 ton truck may be better)
2) You should use the brakes that are on the 1 ton axles, but you may need to get a larger master cylinder/booster depending on the volume of fluid needed to actuate them (most work fine without this)
3) You are going to need to do a lot of cutting or modification work to fit them tires under the body at all.
4) You are going to have to cut all the factory stuff off the donor axles and weld on what's needed on for the jeep suspension (stock or not)
5) You don't even know which axles you are going to use yet.......
6) You will be doing a LOT of mod work if you do what you say.........
You also didn't mention which transmission you have, SYE (needed for the lift), frame stiffeners (needed for the lift &rear suspension mods), new driveshafts, or any of the other stuff that will be needed.

yeah big project. Have the stock aw4 and stock case with sye kit installed. Looking to upgrade to a atlas have a full interior cage connected to frame stiffeners and rock sliders. Waiting to make moves on shock location into cab in fender well.
