1 piece axle shaft swap
So I'm going to be swapping the 1 piece axle shaft in my d 30 with the disco. What all do I need to do it ? I figure the shaft but what about the carrier bearing ? Do I need the short side too?

No need for any bearings. All you need is the passenger side axle seal(have to pull the carrier out to put it in), and a longside shaft. Also you need to make a block off plate for where your vaccuum actuator housing sits on the axle. Just a sheet metal plate with 4 holes drilled into it and some rtv will suffice.

Also now that I read the post again, its worded like you are wanting to swap disco axle shafts into your current d30 with a solid 1 peice passenger side shaft. If thats the case you cant, and why would you??
