Default 00 front axle scraping

Got a 00 xj lifted about 4". PO swapped out the d30 lp with a d30 hp off a 99. Mine has the CA emissions w/ front mini cats. Already had a banks header installed when i got it. (Made for 00-01 models) my exhaust is all brand new. The problem im having is the front cats are scraping my front diff. Right now i have removed my front ds, but it still scrapes when i hit a bump in the road. Everything is installed correctly for sure. So is my only option to either take off the hp and swap a lp or go with a dummy axle? I would prefer to keep my 4wd.

Lifted 4" and you still hit the exhaust?

Either its not lifted much or that exhaust is just huge.

Go pics of the whole Jeep

Man, mine's no where near the exhaust.

Put bumpstops on the Jeep to prevent the issue. Done.

Jesus, that exhaust is just MASSIVE.

I'd suggest setting bumps stops accordingly so it doesn't interfere unless that means limiting ALL of your up-travel.

Edit:

Whats the pinion angle set to? It looks to be set all the way up in the last picture judging by the stock adjuster location.

I'd try adjusting the pinion down a bit before the bumpstops.

Then get rid of the POS exhaust manifold and put a stock one back on it.

I think you might have to get rid of the banks header.

Ok
1.) Swapping to a lp axle would be easier than changing the header. (Im not taking my intake manifold off again screw that i just put a new gasket in there and im not spending $500 on a new header )
2.) My jeep has 4 02 sensors so how the hell am i supposed to change to a header that doesn't fit correctly with my oem 02 sensor configuration

A stock manifold should work fine. Its stock.

I don't know why you would swap axles for an LP. Your problem may still be there anyways.

It takes 2 hours tops to swap out the manifold...

Except that you'd have to put the stock flange back on it.

One way or the other, swap the exhaust or the axle.

A LPDana30 would probably solve the issue. That wouldn't be the way I went but...

Is there really that big of a difference in the two? To be honest, I don't know if I've even seen an LPd30

Im not planning on doing any crazy flexing to be honest man. Just trying to have my jeep on the road hassle free. I just replaced the front cats bc they were clogged. I mean they were scraping even before i replaced them. Like i said i cant change my header because the oxygen sensors. Looks like it will have to be axle swap. I will look into adjustment of the pinion angle. I hadnt though of that

The lp dana 30 has standard cut gears instead of reverse cut gears. The only vehicles that had the lp d30 were 00-01 xjs and tj wranglers

The stock exhaust manifold will have provisions for the O2 sensors...

There's about a 3-4 inch difference between high and low pinion axles.
