You might drive an XJ if your buddy gives you a ride in his new (used) 4-banger Mazda and it feels like a Maybach to you because it has decent bass and working A/C

You might drive an XJ if you can't stop turning the stereo and A/C on and off and back again because you want to see if those noises you're hearing, which may or may not be your imagination, are your Jeep or somebody else's car and whether or not you should be (more) worried.

You might drive a 4.0L straight-six if the noise the front of your Jeep makes and the noise the back of your Jeep makes are so ridiculously different that it sounds like you're driving two different cars welded together like a vehicular CatDog.

I'm sure something similar has been said before but I'm only a couple pages in on reading this thread and there is a lot to go.

You know you drive an XJ when people finally see the Jeep you keep talking about and say "oh that's a jeep? I thought you meant one that the top comes off of"

You might drive an XJ if you seriously consider buying at two to four of every size fastener at the hardware store because you'll never know if the next rusty bolt you take out will be metric or SAE...

When you fix something and something else unrelated to the task, on the other side of the vehicle breaks.

Working on the front axle, look in the rear view mirror getting ready to back out and my rear speaker popped out the sound bar and committed suicide on my spare tire.

When you build a bumper that ties into the steering box bolts, and that alone gets rid of half the play in your steering. Scary to think about how much that stock sheet metal mount flexes

Maybe she wouldn't kill me then...
