when you hit a bump and your hatch flies open, spewing out old food bags and pop cans.
When going down the road sideways in 4wd @30mph is a perfectly normal event..

you know you drive an xj when the first thing you look at in the mall parking to find the jeep (because we never mind the position, we don't need it) is the ridiculous big spare wheel you have on your roof, and you feel self-satisfied.

you know you drive an XJ when the plastic end caps on your stock bumper get ripped off and you think it looks better without them
lol, yeah it does. that's part of the reason why i run straight pipe on mine through a 2.5" Magneflow.

you know you drive an XJ when you're the only one capable of speeding on a snowy road. cause everybody else is either doing 10mph or already stuffed it into a snowbank.
Thats also a stupid thing to do and likely to cause an accident or end up with you in a ditch.

You know you drive an XJ when...
...you read 12 pages of this thread in one sitting
...you will park next to another XJ anywhere you go, expecting him/her to check out your rig, as you did theirs. And don't forget to be a little disappointed inside when you come back out, the other XJ is gone, and there is NOT a note on your door exclaiming "nice jeep!"
...you go to the parts store for axle parts, they ask for the year an model, and you don't know for sure; what if the junkyard labeled the donor vehicle's year wrong?
...you've ripped countless bolts right through the bushwackers, but insist on leaving them on the one remaining bolt until you are forced to fix it
...you will take any opportunity to watch yourself drive by in the reflection of store windows, thinking about how badass you would think you were if you were watching you from in there
...in drive thru's and traffic jams, you pop it into low range, to go slow more comfortably
I have been laughing my knickers off at this thread...it is indeed awesome!
