Is there a heavier version of the Dana 30 axle? I only ask because my build sheet shows mine as being a 181mm axle, D30.

Had to take a second look after seeing 2 people with 180 mm and yes,both my 99 classic and my girlfriend's 96 country have 230 mm. Thought I may have been making it up in my head for a second. Lol.

 

Check that again please, all Cherokees sold in the US had Dana 30s, but the Dana 30s ring gear is 181 mms. The Dana 44s ring gear is 197 mms so this doesn't add up. The Ford 8.8 comes closest to 230 with 223.5 mms.

Took a pic of my build sheet where it states 230 mm since I deleted the email after I printed it.

 

How long does it take to get one after you request it? btw do they call you because i had to give my number

 

Only took about an hour for my 1st 1 cuz it was during business hours and had the 2nd 1 the next day cuz it was after. Didn't get any calls,just a follow up email for customer satisfaction and all that crap.

 

Found it! The MM size refers to the rotor size. The 230 MM is a 9 inch rotor.

 

Seems we both learned something then. Lol

i submitted my request last night. it has been 24 hours and i haven't received it yet. has it taken longer for anyone else?

 

When I did mine back in July, it was submitted on a Thursday, and I didn't hear back until Monday.

It then took me about a week and 4 more emails to actually get my build sheet, as I wasn't listed as the owner through Chrysler or whatever database they check against.

Had to tell them, "Yes", I wanted to be listed as the owner, and send them all my basic contact information.

Apparently there's some top secret stuff in there!
