xj won't start

xj won't start
ok so my jeep wouldn't start put it in neutral and then it started. later in the day same thing but wouldn't start no matter what. i checked to see if i had a bad starter but seems to be good. I'm gonna clean the mss tomorrow and hope that works. what dose everyone else thing here.
